I haven’t went diggin’ in awhile, but yesterday was good to me thanks to the homie Jason. I’m the type of person that will go diggin’ and if I don’t find something that hits me, then I will get discouraged and not dig for weeks and sometimes months. Yesterday was not like that. Jason is pretty much running a record store out of his house, so I had to stop by, visit the kids, and dig. I picked up a few that I’ve been looking for and I also found something that I’m using on the album. |

I still know how to pull out the gems. I haven’t been digging as often as I would like, but the other day I hit up my favorite spot and copped just a few. The One Way record is easy to find, but I was really feeling the other two. One or two of them is more than likely going to be on the album and I already passed them off to Rising Son. |

Jiant’s SpotThe D.I.T.C. part of my blog will show you some of the stuff that I’ve picked up while diggin’ and also introduce you to my friends who are also record collectors. I’m very hands on with my production when it comes to my music so this is a very important part of what I do, and on top of that I just love records and the music from different eras. For this first entry I went over to my boy Jiant’s spot. He is one of the most respected and knowledgeable collectors in Tacoma. He hit me up and told me he was selling some of his records so I had to stop by and visit. This isn’t his spot, but Jiant does live in a neighborhood where I have many childhood memories. This house right here is located in the Sunnydale neighborhood in Spanaway and it’s where my friend Phaze used to live. This house means a lot to me because the first time that I ever rapped in my life was on that front step when I was 13. Damn kids. One of many. Jiant chillin’. Probably going to cop this Catalyst joint. Fuuuuuck, he wont sell me this. The studio. |
