Last night I was craving some Korean BBQ, so Ron Burgundy, Erik Soderquist, D, and I decided to hit up The Honey Pig on South Tacoma Way. We discussed music, the upcoming show, the shop, future projects, and future plans.

Fun Fact : I am 1/4 Korean. I am not lying to you.

My girlfriend and I headed up to Seattle for New Years Eve. We went to my homie Kingston’s place and celebrated the new year there with friends. Yeah, that’s how we get down. Photos by Erik Soderquist.

I met up with A-Hyp early in the AM for coffee and breakfast at The Hob Nob.

After breakfast we hit up MSM to say what’s up to my good friend and the owner of MSM, Jamal. He hooked me up with one of the new t-shirts that they have available at the shop, but I’ve heard they are going fast, so hurry up and go pick one up. I feel very sorry for the folks out there who have not had the privilege of making their life complete by having MSM in it. The best sandwiches in the city and the biggest selection of imported beer.

The next day I met up with DJ Semaj, Evergreen One, and A-Hyp to grab some lunch at The Spar in Old Town Tacoma. I love their turkey burgers, fries, and of course, the pitcher of Manny’s Pale Ale. After lunch, Semaj and I headed towards the South End for his photo shoot. I’m going to get the pictures developed early next week and I think they are going to turn out really good, so be on the look out for those.

The best 4th of July ever.

D and I were just talking about how this was the best 4th of July ever. This night is going to be hard to top this summer, but I know we will try. First we had a BBQ down at the shop, kicked it there for awhile, and had a really good time. Second, we hopped on our bikes and made our way to the waterfront. Third, we cruised the waterfront, met up with friends, grabbed some drinks, and enjoyed the day and the festivities. Fourth, we headed up a block from the waterfront to hit up the homie A-Hyp’s house party which had a perfect view for the fireworks. Last, we went to The Matador to get some happy hour food and drinks before ending the night.

My camera died in the middle of the day so the homies Maly and AJ hooked me up with some pictures of their own to add to my blog. A major thank you to you both.

Summer Night

The weekend was here, and it was the day before the 4th, so the crew and I decided to head down to the waterfront to Katie Downs to grab some drinks, some food, and chill out on the deck. It was the beginning to one of the illest weekends that I’ve ever had in Tacoma.

What a good weekend.

I’m not very big on my birthday, but I will always find an excuse to spend time with close friends. It started off with a small BBQ at my boy Wooty’s crib, and then for the night we rolled to my favorite bar in my city, Top of Tacoma. On Sunday we ended the weekend with a sidewalk circle and some nice afternoon chillin’. Major props to Jesse for hooking it up with the black and white photos.
