Good Wood

I don’t quite remember how I discovered Good Wood, but last year when I found out that they did custom pieces, right then and there is when I knew that I wanted a Washington State piece. I didn’t want a plain outline of the state as the pendant, so I sat on the idea for some time. A few months back they released an Africa piece and the Africa piece had grooves carved into it, so I decided to go with grooves to add something to the pendant. I hit them up about the custom piece and they made it happen. Thank you, Good Wood.

Flying Coffin

Flying Coffin is a Seattle brand that I first noticed in Goods a year or two back. I’ve been a fan of the darker imagery and the color combinations they use for their clothing and how they keep the line cohesive. I recently copped this t-shirt that is from their spring 2010 collection. Flying Coffin is available at The Cool in downtown Tacoma.

Gourmet

DSCN7380

I’ve been looking/waiting for a pair of really clean and plain red shoes for awhile. I know that Crooks & Castles is putting out a really clean red and white chukka style shoe in their summer collection and Supra is releasing it’s super sick Skytop Heartbreaker shoes this week (which I’m also going to try to get), but it was Gourmet who seems to never let me down in the shoe department.

These are the Gourmet Quattro B shoes which is part of their 2010 spring collection. They are made out of ballistic nylon which gives it a different, but very clean look. The picture does not do these shoes justice.

Timberland

DSCN7308

I know I was making fun of myself for having Timberland boots back in the day in my previous Red Wing boots post, but it was the construction, Brooklyn, Screwball style boots. I have nothing against those boots at all, it was just that I couldn’t believe that I thought I could pull it off. The boots pictured above are the Timberland Abington Guide boots. My boy D (The Cool) and I were having a conversation about boots after I copped the Red Wing boots and these were brought up. They are pretty much sold out everywhere, but I was lucky enough to find a pair. Very comfortable and perfect for a Washington winter.

Red Wing

DSCN7260

Remember when Ecko, and Triple 5 Soul were the shit? I was in Mr. Rags all of the time buying that super backpacker, wack rapper, trash compactor, trapper keeper type of gear. I even had a pair of Timberland boots to go with it because I loved Wu-Tang & M.O.P. I’m so happy that there are phases in life. I wanted some boots for the winter, so I copped these Red Wing Lifestyle boots. These definitely fit me a lot better. Sorry Lil’ Fame & Billy Danze.

Clarks

DSCN7248

Clarks is known for it’s comfort, quality, and style, and everyone knows that the Wu helped them out by putting the Wallabees on the map. These are a United Kingdom only release of the Desert Boots, and they are my new favorite pair of shoes/boots. A special thanks to D for hooking it all up.

Supra

Supra

These are pro skater Terry Kennedy’s Supra TK Society shoes. These have been out for some time, but I was able to finally pick up a pair. As MC Eiht would say, jeah.
