I am going to miss this set up, even though you can clearly see that I have no monitors. Last night I sold my MPC2000XL. Even though people tell me that I’m a few steps away from being a producer, I just don’t think I’m cut out to be one. Yes, I dig for records, chop samples, loop samples, and sequence samples, but I don’t think I could ever rap over my own beats. I’m impatient, a perfectionist, and I still like the feeling of getting new beats from my producers. I sold the MPC to Todd Sykes and I know he will definitely get more use out of it than I did since I never made a beat on it haha. I will stick to what I think I’m good at. Goodbye MPC2000XL, you will be missed, but I will come visit you every now and then.
